How do I take care of my accessories?
To prolong of life of your jewelry, please avoid chemical solutions, perfumes, excessive sweat, sea water and swimming pool water. Salt water and chlorine can damage your jewelry. Chlorine can damage and discolor metals that are alloyed with the gold and can slowly erode the finish and polish of gemstones. Also, lotions and sprays create a film on the jewelry, making it dull and dingy.
To keep any tarnish or wear from setting in, take a soft, damp cleaning cloth and gently wipe off the surfaces of the jewelry, being sure to get in all the nooks and crannies. Keep jewelry dry, because moisture is the main factor that speeds up the tarnishing process.
For our bio-materials, please do not not get your pieces wet for prolonged periods of time. Keep your precious pieces in a cool and dry location when not in use. In the event that your piece is beginning to lose it's form, we recommend placing your piece in the fridge for 10 minute check-in's. Remember to remove the jewelry hardware before composting the bio-materials at the ends of their life cycle or use. What is Vol. 1, “Bio-Resin”?
“Bio-Resin” is the name the designer gave the biomaterial that they work with. The word “Bio-Resin” is for catch-phrase purposes only. “Bio-Resin” is NOT made with any plastics, acrylics or resins. It is solely called “Bio-Resin” because of how it looks and, is not made with resin.
Why is it called “Bio-Resin”
The name evokes a conversation about harmful materials that are becoming popular in the fashion world. Resin is extremely harmful and toxic to our environment... and this material is being used more and more in the accessories industry. The biomaterial textile developed by the designer is named “Bio-Resin” to counteract the “resin” trend.
How long will the citrus jewelry items last after I receive them?
Given that our items are made to not last, our pieces has the shelf life of 3-9 months and upwards upon receiving your products. There are also cases where they last longer (9+ to over a year so far). Given that the biomaterial textile is influenced by environmental conditions such as humidity, we include care and disposal instructions for every order so that you are able to enjoy your order for as long as possible.

How can I know when you have restocked your made-to-order inventory?
Follow us on Instagram! Outside of our foraged findings capsule collections, we usually re-stock on a semi-monthly basis to ensure that we pay attention to current batches of orders that have been requested (: If products are restocked quicker we will post it to our Instagram stories!

I am sensitive to certain metals, will the hardwares offered at Degrade cause allergic reactions?
No, the hardwares sourced should not cause allergic reactions. We source great quality hardware from the jewelry district in New York City. We are currently offering Sterling Silver and 14k Gold-Fill Hardwares
I love my choker! When my pendant biodegrades, can I replace the pendant on my choker and keep the original chain for a discount?

After an item has been shipped, can I still get a refund?
No, once items are shipped there are no returns or refunds offered. The only event where refunds are accepted is if it has been more than 3 weeks and your order has not been not been in production, at that point the designer is more than happy to refund for the delay. Please refer to our
